Donna Gimarc, writing Regency period romance as ELISABETH FAIRCHILD,
honored with industry trade ROMANTIC TIMES' prestigious Reviewer's
Choice Award, for the BEST REGENCY NOVEL of 1994-1995, was nominated
for the BEST REGENCY ROMANCE category every year between 1991 and
1998.
Nominated already for a Romantic Times Lifetime Achievement Award
Donna recently moved from Dallas to Rowlett, Texas with her best
friend and husband George, and their two dogs, Mookie and Shellie.
When she is not writing, she is either pouring over the hundreds of
history books she has amassed in her private research library,
canoeing on Lake Ray Hubbard, shoveling dirt in her ongoing attempts
to establish a new garden in the wake of a drought year, or papering
and painting the bare walls of her new house.
The award winning author of over a dozen books, included in four
short story anthologies, and published in Germany, Italy, and
Bulgaria, Fairchild's most recent book,
CAPTAIN CUPID CALLS THE SHOTS, is a February 2001 release.
THE GRAND HOTEL, Signet's first "shared world" anthology, (Fairchild
was asked to create the "world")--includes her short story, LOVE WILL
FIND THE WAY.

"How to Grow Native Plants of Texas and the
Southwest: Revised and Updated Edition"
|

(Ordering
Info) |
Jill Nokes has a landscape design and consulting practice in Austin, Texas, where she
and her associates work with architects, builders, homeowners, new landowners,
and schools to create landscape designs that reflect the local region and thrive with
a minimum of resources, especially water. How to Grow Native Plants of Texas and the
Southwest: Revised and Updated Edition
will be published in May 2001 and can be ordered now. "Nokes draws upon many unpublished
observations by experienced propagators, which should keep many gardeners from
trial-and-error inquiries of their own. . . .
This attractive, clearly written landscape materials guide will fill a large gap in western
horticultural literature and should serve as a model for other regional guides."
